He served [[Shimazu Takahisa]] and [[Shimazu Yoshihisa|Yoshihisa]] with distinction, in particular during the confrontation with the [[Ryuzoji clan|Ryûzôji]] at [[Battle of Okinawadate|Okinawadate]] in [[1584]].
