The Kinkôzan family were a lineage and studio of Satsuma ware ceramics artisans. Based at a studio in Kyoto established in 1645, the successive heads of the Kinkôzan family were official proprietors of tea bowls and other ceramic objects to the Tokugawa shogunate for nearly the entire Edo period. Following the Meiji Restoration, they continued to produce fine Satsuma wares until the studio was closed in 1927.
