向 (Shô)

向 (Surname: Shô; C: Xiàng) - a name held by members of the royal family and others of the highest ranks of the nobility of the Kingdom of Ryûkyû, outside of the king and his sons. Not to be confused with 尚 (Shô), the surname held by Ryukyuan kings and their closest relatives.
