Nan gusuku

• Okinawan: 名護城 (Nan gusuku, Nan gushiku)

Nan gusuku was a gusuku fortress located in what is now Nago City, in northern Okinawa Island. An earthworks fortress without stone walls, it stood and operated in some form from roughly 1100 CE to around 1850.
