- 1333/2: Emperor Go-Daigo escapes exile on Oki Island, returning to Honshû.
- 1333/2 Shogunate forces reduce Akasaka castle and Yoshino, and converge on Chihaya castle, where Kusunoki Masashige leads the defense.
