- 1910/1/6 Two thousand cherry trees are delivered to Washington DC. They are found to be infested with nematodes, and it is decided they must be destroyed. Plans are made to send a second, larger, shipment in 1912.
- 1910/4 The first issue of Shirakaba is published.
- 1910/4 An Okinawan prefectural shrine is first proposed.
- 1910/5/14-10/29 Japan-British Exhibition is held at White City, in London.
- 1910/8/29 Korea is formally annexed, after having been a protectorate since 1905. The Korean monarchy is abolished, and the Governor-General of Korea office is established.
