• 1910/1/6 Two thousand cherry trees are delivered to Washington DC. They are found to be infested with nematodes, and it is decided they must be destroyed. Plans are made to send a second, larger, shipment in 1912.
• 1910/4 The first issue of Shirakaba is published.
• 1910/4 An Okinawan prefectural shrine is first proposed.
• 1910/8/12 Korea is formally annexed, after having been a protectorate since 1905.
