Inamura Kenpu was a scholar of Ryukyuan culture and history.
Originally from [[Miyako Island]], Inamura published on a number of themes, including village life in "ancient" Ryukyu, and the significant presence of ''[[wako|wakô]]'' (maritime brigands, smugglers) in early Ryukyuan history.
