Gyeongui Line

The Gyeong'ui Line was a major train line which ran from Seoul to the Korea-China border, where it connected to the Southern Manchurian Railway. Opened in 1905 and severed at the line between North and South Korea in 1945, the train line has come to take on a symbolic meaning as evocative of division, and severed connections.
