Hosokawa Sumitomo attempts to return to Kyoto, but is defeated by Hosokawa Takakuni and the Rokkaku clan and retreats back to Shikoku.
Kôno Michinao becomes head of the Kôno clan.
Walls are erected around the Sonohyan utaki on the grounds of Shuri Castle.
