Shô Chôkyô was a Ryukyuan scholar-bureaucrat, who served as the Vice Envoy (fukushi) on a 1764 Ryukyuan embassy to Edo. He was also known by his Japanese-style name Kunikane, and by his aristocratic title, Wakugawa ueekata.
