  • Oda Nobuhide makes peace with Saitô Dôsan, and receives a daughter for marriage to Nobunaga.
  • Jesuits capture three men from Satsuma province in Malacca, and bring them to Goa; they are the first Japanese to ever travel to India. They are returned to Japan the following year. One of the men, Anjirô, later served as an interpreter for Francis Xavier.
