  • Japanese: 須藤 隼太郎 (Sudou Shuntarou)

Sudô Shuntarô was a Kawagoe han retainer who, along with his two brothers, killed Uto han retainer Hara Minoru at Totsuka post-station on 1853/11/22 in revenge for the death of their father, Sudô Kyûemon.

Shogunate officials considered the case on 1854/2/6 and acquitted the brothers. On 5/29 of that year, the brothers were honored by their lord, Matsudaira Tsunenori, for their successful and honorable revenge, and were granted stipends.
