  • Japanese: 素性法師 (Sosei hôshi)

Sosei Hôshi was a 9th-10th century Buddhist priest and waka poet known as one of the "36 Poetry Immortals" (Sanjûrokkasen). His father Henjô is also known as a Buddhist priest and is counted among both the "Six Poetry Immortals" (Rokkasen) and the Sanjûrokkasen.

Originally affiliated with Unrin-in (a temple founded by his father), he later moved to Sekijô-ji (Ryôin-in).
