Makara Naotaka was a Sengoku period warrior in service to Asakura Yoshikage. He personally covered the retreat of the Asakura at the 1570 battle of Anegawa, engaging in hand-to-hand combat with the support of his son until he was cut down.

An ôdachi sword known as Sue no Aoe, held at the treasure house at Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya, is believed to have been used by Naotaka in that battle.[1]
