Guido Verbeck was a Dutch-born American Protestant missionary who was sent to Nagasaki in 1859 by the Dutch Reformed Church. One of a number of prominent Americans active in Meiji period Japan, he is known for his writings and art collection.

His great-grandson Charles Verbeck (1932-2009) was also a very active and prominent collector of Japanese art, especially ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
