Ehon shibai nenjû kagami is a woodblock-printed book illustrated by Utagawa Toyokuni and published in 1803 which illustrates numerous backstage aspects of the kabuki theatre, including stage tricks such as how quick-changes were done, how ghosts and skeletons were portrayed, and so forth.
