The Iwami Silver Mine opens.
Shô Gen succeeds his father Shô Sei as king of the Kingdom of Ryûkyû. Sanshikan (Council of Three) begins to gain power.
Itsukushima Shrine is rebuilt.
Ming dynasty forces drive off a group of wakô from Zhejiang province; the wakô then head towards Ryûkyû and are defeated by the Ryukyuan royal navy.
