Tei Heitetsu

Tei Heitetsu was a Ryukyuan scholar-bureaucrat, known for the compilation of the Ryûkyû-koku kyûki. A translation and adaptation of the Ryûkyû-koku yuraiki into Chinese, with the additional of nine more volumes, Heitetsu completed the task in 1731.
In 1752, he served as gieisei (master of the procession & of street musicians) in that year's Ryukyuan embassy to Edo.
