- Amako clan is founded.
- Emperor Go-Kameyama abdicates and surrenders the Imperial Regalia and lineage to the Northern Court, ending the Nanboku-chô Period.
- Kumemura is founded in Chûzan. It is said that its founders were 36 families of people of Min ethnicity, sent from what is today Fukien Province on the orders of the Ming Court.
- Three Ryukyuans are, for the first time, sent to the Imperial Academy (Guozijian) in China, marking the beginning of a regular system.
