Tani Jinzan was a Confucian scholar in the service of Tosa han. A student of Yamazaki Ansai and Shibukawa Shunkai, he is known for his expertise at calendrics, and the Suika sect of Shinto. Jinzan's works include the Shindai kan'endo den.
