  • Japanese: 唐船奉行 (tousen bugyou)

The tôsen bugyô, or Chinese Ships Magistrate, was an official in service to the Shimazu clan who oversaw interactions with Chinese trading ships making port in Shimazu territory. The position was abolished after the Tokugawa shogunate's 1611 edict restricting Chinese ships to Nagasaki.
