Wow, these are great - is it possible for you to list your sources in each article? (just list the sources that you actually used for each article, you don't have to list them all for every article if you didn't use all of them for a particular article).
Basically, just do this at the bottom of your articles:
==References==
Then put the books you used for the specific article like this:
*''Shinsengumi Taishi Den'' (新選組隊士伝) Gakken
*''Shinsengumi'' (新選組) Sekai Bunkasha
Thanks!
After his death
"Two months after his death, his page Ichimura Tetsunosuke visited Sato Hikogoro's house and handed Hijikata's photograph, hair and death poem." - does this mean he gave this to Sato? And what is the Japanese for the poem? I only find the english version --Kitsuno 22:05, 17 December 2006 (PST)
Yes, the Sato family still keeps the photo but the hair is missing. They displayed the original photo during the last Shinsengumi festival and I saw it.
The death poem was たとひ身は蝦夷の島根に朽ちるとも、魂は東の君やまもらん or it might be
よしや身は蝦夷が島辺に朽ちぬとも魂は東(あずま)の君やまもらむ. (Same meaning).--Shikisoku 01:59, 18 December 2006 (PST)
