Fuyuyasu was the third son of [[Miyoshi Motonaga]] and a younger brother of [[Miyoshi Chokei]] and a noted poet. He held [[Takenokuchi castle]] on [[Awaji province|Island]] and commanded ships for his elder brother. He is thought to have been murdered on the orders of [[Matsunaga Hisahide]] while visiting [[Iimori castle]] as part of the latter's efforts to undermine the [[Miyoshi clan|Miyoshi]]. His son was [[Atagi Nobuyasu]].
