Jacques Specx was the first ''opperhoofd'' (head, or factor) of the [[Dutch East India Company]] factory at [[Hirado]], serving in that position from 20 September [[1609]] until 28 August [[1612]], and again from [[1614]]/8/6 until 31 January [[1621]].
