Yang Su was an ambassador dispatched by the Korean kingdom of [[Joseon]] in [[1420]] to formally convey the royal court's condolences on the death of Shogun [[Ashikaga Yoshimitsu]], who had died in [[1408]]. He was reportedly robbed of extensive gifts for the [[Ashikaga shogunate|shogunate]] - including textiles, [[tiger]] skins, and [[ginseng]] - by pirates in the [[Inland Sea]].
