Higashibôjô Tokinaga was a [[kuge|court noble]] and imperial court official who served as ''[[buke tenso|buke tensô]]'' and ''buke tensô kasei'' (the court's liaison with the [[Tokugawa shogunate]]) on-and-off numerous times throughout the 1840s-50s, often alternating in these positions with court noble [[Bojo Toshiaki|Bôjô Toshiaki]].
