Shinpuku-ji is a Buddhist temple in the Shiba neighborhood of [[Tokyo]], near [[Atago Shrine]]. It notably provided lodgings in the 1850s for a number of foreign dignitaries, including Dutch commissioner [[Jan Hendrik Donker Curtius]], Russian envoy [[Yevfimy Vasilyevich Putyatin]], and French envoy [[Baron Gros|Jean Baptiste Louis Baron Gros]].
