Matsumoto Sansetsu was a 17th century court painter in service to the lords of [[Iyo Matsuyama han]].
Born in [[Omi province|Ômi province]], Sansetsu was later invited by [[Matsudaira Sadayuki]], the first [[Edo period]] lord of Iyo Matsuyama, to come to [[Shikoku]] and enter his service.
