Sueyoshi Bakumontô was an early 20th century journalist who worked for the ''[[Ryukyu Shimpo]]''. He is notable as the writer whose article on the planned demolition of the Main Hall of [[Shuri castle]] in 1924 caught the attention of [[Kamakura Yoshitaro|Kamakura Yoshitarô]] and [[Ito Chuta|Itô Chûta]] and led to the Hall being saved.<ref>"Beni no ugushiku"「紅の御城(うぐしく)へ」, Momoto Special Issue: Shuri, Ryûkyû no miyako o aruku モモト 別冊:首里・琉球の都をあるく (2013/8), 53.</ref>
