The Seven Branch Sword is a 4th century [[iron]] sword inlaid with ''[[kanji]]'' writing in [[gold]]. Designated a [[National Treasure]] and held by [[Isonokami shrine]] in [[Nara prefecture]], it is described in the inscription as being a gift to the "[[emperor|king]]" of Japan (倭王) from the king of the Korean kingdom of [[Baekje]].
