They meet as well with [[Honda Masanobu]] and [[Saisho Shotai|Saishô Shôtai]], while staying at the temple of [[Honpo-ji|Honpô-ji]] in Kyoto. This is not counted among the twelve official missions of the Edo period, but represents the beginning of rapprochement.
