Okifusa was a competent soldier and administrator and became one of [[Ouchi Yoshioki|Ôuchi Yoshioki's]] senior retainers and after the latter's death served [[Ouchi Yoshitaka|Yoshitaka]], whom he assisted in his battles with the [[Shoni clan|Shôni]] on [[Kyushu]].
