The Naitô were related to the [[Takeda clan (Kai)|Takeda]] of [[Kai province|Kai]] and served them until the latter's downfall in [[1582]]. Another branch of the Takeda-Naitô served the [[Takeda clan (Wakasa)|Takeda]] of [[Wakasa province]].
