Kawakami Hisakane

Kawakami Chikugo Hisakane was a karô in service to the Shimazu clan lords of Kagoshima han in the late Edo period. He traveled to Edo with lord of Kagoshima Shimazu Narioki and his heir Shimazu Nariakira in 1850, accompanying the final Ryukyuan embassy to Edo.
