Iizuka Reiji was a ''[[yoga|yôga]]'' (Western-style oils) painter of the early 20th century.
Born in the Honmoku neighborhood of [[Yokohama]] in [[1904]], he traveled the world in his 20s, and studied techniques of Western painting. Returning to Japan, he gained popularity as a painter of inserted images for boys' magazines.
In his last years, he took up maritime subjects. Iizuka died in 2004 at the age of 99.
