  • Chinese: 詩經 (Shījīng)

The Book of Odes, or Book of Songs, is a collection of poetry from the Western Zhou. Compiled prior to 600 BCE, it is one of the earliest surviving collections of Chinese poetry, and is considered one of the Five Classics, along with the I Ching ("Book of Changes"), Book of Rites (Lǐjì), Classic of History (Shūjīng), and the Spring and Autumn Annals (Chūnqiū).
