The kofun tomb-mound designated by the Meiji government as the mausoleum of Emperor Suizei, in Kashihara, Nara prefecture
  • Reign: 581-549 BCE
  • Japanese: 綏靖天皇 (Suizei tennou)

Emperor Suizei was the second Emperor of Japan according to the traditional (Meiji period) order of succession. He is known only from legendary accounts in documents such as the Kojiki or Nihon shoki; there is no archaeological or historical evidence of his definitive existence, or of an organized Japanese state during the time of his supposed reign.
