Tei Dô was a Ryukyuan scholar-bureaucrat who was among the chief advisors to King [[Sho Nei|Shô Nei]] at the time of the [[invasion of Ryukyu|invasion]] of the [[Ryukyu Kingdom|Ryûkyû Kingdom]] by samurai forces from [[Satsuma han]].
