Zacharias Wagenaer

Zacharias Wagenaer was opperhoofd (factor, chief) of the Dutch East India Company base at Dejima for a time.

He also served for a time in Brazil, and is known for his paintings of scenes and sights in both places, including at least one depiction of the Meireki Fire in Edo.
