Naitô Nobuteru was the son of Naitô Nobumasa, and first Edo period Naitô clan daimyô of Tanagura han in Mutsu province.
Born in 1592, he became lord of Tanagura in 1627, with a kokudaka of 50,000 koku. He was known for his interest in tea ceremony and devotion to the nenbutsu.
