  • Japanese: 智満方 (Chima no kata)

Chima no kata was a concubine of Shimazu Shigehide, the 25th Lord of Satsuma han, and is perhaps best known as the great-grandmother of the famous Atsuhime.

Chima no kata was the eldest daughter of the court noble Tsutsumi Toshinaga, and the grandmother of Shimazu Tadatake, father of Atsuhime.

She is buried at the Tsutsumi family family temple of Shôjôke-in, on Teramachi-dôri in Kyoto.
