Yo Bunhin

Yô Bunhin, also known by his aristocratic title Nakachi peechin, was a Ryukyuan scholar-official from Kumemura who served as totsûji (Chinese interpreter). In 1748, he traveled to Edo as a gakushi (musician) on that year's Ryukyuan embassy to Edo.[1]
