The Wakan Sansai Zue is a 105-volume Edo period encyclopedia compiled by Terashima Ryôan, and published in 1712-1714. It was essentially a Japanese version of the Chinese Sancai tuhui compiled in 1609 by Wang Qi and Wang Siyi.

The encyclopedia is organized into three sections, Heaven, Earth, and Man (天地人, ten-chi-jin), each of which are then subdivided. The "Heaven" volumes contain sections on the calendar and the seasons; the "Earth" volumes contain sections on mountains, water, metals, plants, and minerals, and the "Man" volumes cover ethics, religion, customs, and tools.
