Aristocrats

I think we need an "Aristocrats" subgroup for the bios, as men like Wake no Kiyomaro and others don't belong in a general samurai bio section. Nagaeyari 06:20, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

Just add a [[Category:Aristocrats]] tag in the appropriate articles, then edit the Aristocrats page and add a [[Category:Biographies]] tag.

I'm interested in a "Fauna and Flora" category. What do you think?

"Fauna and Flora"? Uh, I guess - you have some flowers of historical significance? --Kitsuno 13:28, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

Yeah, there's a lot of interest in that subject when dealing with Jomon and Yayoi times. Secondly, with the mysterious addition of a Seiichi Iwao bio, I think a "Historians" bio section is worth-while. Also, Nihon Shoki and Kojiki mythology, contain animals and plants Nagaeyari 13:57, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

I definately want historians, authors, and books. --Kitsuno 14:40, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

Removed Aristocrats Category

I've gone ahead and removed the aritstocrats category, and put those designated bios into the other cultural figures category. --Kitsuno 22:40, 15 September 2006 (PDT)

Mythology Categories

I'm not sure if it is clear, but the difference between "Obake" (Spirits, Ghosts, and Monsters), and "Mythological Creatures" is like the difference between the Kraken or Cerberus versus vampires, werewolves, and zombies... Or in Japanese terms, the difference between a Tengu or a Kitsune versus Byakko or Suzaku. Does that make sense? Basically creatures that appear in mythology versus "monsters".. --Kitsuno 23:07, 15 September 2006 (PDT)

New Categories

I have added the Yayoi category and the Jomon category. Secondly, for the stub clay pots section, are all the categories appropriate? Nagaeyari 18:24, 17 September 2006 (PDT)

"Clay pots are everywhere"? lol... I wouldn't put it in resource articles unless you plan on writing about how they are dated, or what can be learned from them, etc. - the resource articles are articles that give information on how to figure something out, at least that is my idea of it - like the "age" one, or articles about how to calculate between western and japanese dates, or articles about the japanese calendar, or general articles about the use of ceremonial titles. Things like that. Otherwise, it should be fine. --Kitsuno 19:27, 17 September 2006 (PDT)
Speaking of historical categories, should we also put in hakuho and azuchi-momoyama, or just eventually create articles about them, along with the rest of the eventual historical period articles? --Kitsuno 19:54, 17 September 2006 (PDT)
