Ôsuga Kôsai Kiyomitsu was a ''[[machi eshi]]'' (town painter) from [[Aizu Wakamatsu han]]. He is known for his [[1847]] [[byobu|folding screen]] painting of [[Edo castle]] now in the collection of the [[National Museum of Japanese History]] (Rekihaku), entitled ''Edojô tôjô fûkei zu byôbu''. The screen depicts the entourages of numerous daimyo resting in a large plaza just outside the Uchi-Sakurada-mon gate of Edo castle, while their respective lords are in attendance within the castle.
