Kanan Shirôemon was a Kyoto-based publisher, active from the [[Genroku]] era (c. 1688-1704) until the Tenmei era (1780s). His publishing shop-name was Eikadô.
He had relationships with the Osaka publisher [[Shibukawa Daizo|Shibukawa Daizô]]<!--渋川大蔵--> and the Edo publisher [[Suwaraya Mohei]], allowing some number of their publications to be produced and distributed in all three cities.
