Kanan Shiroemon

Kanan Shirôemon was a Kyoto-based publisher, active from the Genroku era (c. 1688-1704) until the Tenmei era (1780s). His publishing shop-name was Eikadô.

He had relationships with the Osaka publisher Shibukawa Daizô and the Edo publisher Suwaraya Mohei, allowing some number of their publications to be produced and distributed in all three cities.
