Japanese novelist.

Asada Jirô is a Japanese novelist, descended from samurai retainers of [[Sekiyado han]]. A number of his [[Shinsengumi]] novels were best sellers and turned into films.

His ancestor was retainer of Sekiyado han.

According to his essay "Being Shinsengumi fan for 30 years" His Shinsengumi novels were both best sellers and filmized.
