Yoshida Kanemi was the head of Yoshida Shrine in Kyoto, and a prominent figure in court circles in the late 17th century, as well as having some association with figures such as Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Oda Nobunaga.

Kanemi was a relative of Hosokawa Fujitaka. His wife was named Seijo, and they had at least one child, a daughter named Michiyo.
